Holiday Gift Ideas

Every year we like to to put together a page full of some great gift ideas at all different price points. Any of these gift ideas below can be packaged up in one of our nice green gift bags with decorative tissue paper. All mugs will be placed inside gift boxes as well inside gift bag.

Charley Harper Designs

For more than sixty years Charley Harper’s vivid, often humorous paintings have delighted art and animal lovers, transporting viewers into the natural world via lively but self-described flat images that don’t lay claim to the third dimension. We have found ourselves stocking more and more items with Charley’s amazing artwork and they all make great gift ideas for anyone on your list this year.

Eco Wear Baseball Caps

Artist Tell Hicks & Chuck Smith create each of these great embroidered cap designs. They have seen and photographed many of these animal and plants in the wild and know when the designs are just right. Each cap comes with an interpretive tag describing their habitat/range and an interesting fact as well as Common and Latin Names. These baseball caps have been a mainstay here at the store and remain a best seller in our gift store area. Especially popular with Dads for Christmas & Father’s Day gifts! The Naked Bee

For years we have carried many products from The Naked Bee in their amazing Orange Blossom Honey lineup. This subtle scent isn’t overbearing and the creams have been one of our most consistent selling gift items in the store. We just stocked up on a variety of this line as well as their great hand sanitizers several different sizes and foaming hand soap.

Zipp Photography Calendars & Holiday Cards

Ryan & Jim have their annual photo wall calendars available for purchase here at the store. Ryan's "New England" calendar features 2 images from each of the 6 states in this historic region and is his best one yet. Jim has 12 great images in his "Songbirds" calendar featuring favorites of his from all over the country.  Then an awesome collaborative effort from both of them for a "Birds of Prey of New England" that includes a variety of stunning eagle, owl & hawk photos. Grab one for yourself or as the perfect gift for someone on your list this year!

Ryan also has made a selection of blank holiday notecards featuring some of his favorite seasonal images from all around New England. 6 different designs are currently available in packs of 10 cards & envelopes, either with a single image or a variety pack.

Abbott Designs Drinkware

One of these great designs features the ever popular Cardinal on a wine goblet glass, stoneware mug & even swedish dish cloths. The other is another favorite Ruby-throated Hummingbird on a whimsical stemless goblet in stock just in time to enjoy your wine in while watching them at your feeders.

Wavertree & London Australian Hand Soaps

Local Raw Honey

Our most popular food item in the store that is for us humans and not any of the wild critters is our local raw honey from neighboring Cheshire. This is artisanal honey that is straight from the local hives and not mixed with anything else. It doesn’t get much more local and many swear by it to help with seasonal allergies. Once you taste this amazing honey you’ll never go back to any regular store bought jars again.

We have a great selection of wind chimes from industry standard Woodstock Chimes, but these 3 below are the best sellers here at the store. Any of our high quality bird feeders can be purchased along with a small bag of bird seed to make for a great gift as well. We can help you pick out the perfect feeder for anyone on your list this year and put together a nice gift bag with some birdseed as well.

We always have a great selection of binoculars & spotting scopes in all price ranges to get any beginner setup with their first one or help someone looking to upgrade to something better than what they’re currently using.
