Although some birds
migrate south from Connecticut for the winter, others actually migrate
Connecticut! Birds such as
Juncos and White-throated Sparrows nest further north, then come here to
spend the winter (go figure)!
Some of the most common birds to come to your feeders in the winter
are Cardinals, Blue Jays, Chickadees, Titmice, Juncos, White-throated
Sparrows, Mourning Doves, House Finch, Goldfinch, Downy Woodpeckers
(actually just about all the woodpeckers spend the winter here).
