Mealworm Feeders

Many feeder birds will enjoy mealworms if we offer them, but the main target of most backyard birdwatchers is the beautiful Eastern Bluebird! They are mostly a bug eater and will usually only come to standard bird feeders sometimes in the Winter to feed on sunflower chips, peanut splits or suet. If you have Bluebirds in your yard you can put out mealworms to really give them a treat that will also help to keep them around! During the colder months they were be more than content with the dead dried mealworms, but as the weather warms up they prefer the mealworms alive. We stock the dried worms all year long and begin carrying the live worms typically in April.
